IMG_7171Grocery shopping and cooking just got so much easier with the iPhone and iPad app, Appetites. The company’s publicist asked if I wanted to try the service (free of charge), and I gladly accepted.

Appetites provides tons of delicious recipes on the app. Once you select a recipe and enter your billing information, you select a delivery time and all the ingredients arrive at your door that same day! Pretty convenient, huh? What’s even better is that once you’re ready to cook, the app has step-by-step video instructions for the recipe–it couldn’t get much easier. This tamarind beef I chose to make was full of flavor and delicious paired with the nutty broccoli and snow peas!

Hope everyone had a great weekend, and is surviving/survived Monday! I have yet another busy week ahead of me, as I’m heading to New York in a couple of days for work. Though it’ll be a quick trip and full of work events, I’ll have some time to visit friends who live in the city.

These lettuce wraps are fresh and delicious, and the perfect weeknight meal. The spicy drizzling sauce has just the right amount of kick and boosts the flavor of the ground turkey. Enjoy!

Standard Caroline move–I went grocery shopping this weekend without any recipes in mind. I decided to pick up some ground beef, figuring I’d find a desirable recipe somewhere on the Internet.

Though, when I got home and considered making beef stroganoff or a Hamburger helper type mac and cheese, I of course didn’t have all the ingredients. So that’s why they recommend making a grocery list. Ah, makes sense.

Anyways, this simple beef pasta is something I whipped up mostly with ingredients already on hand. It’s not a pasta I’d typically make, but the flavors worked well together–particularly the Worcestershire and soy sauce.
