IMG_7171Grocery shopping and cooking just got so much easier with the iPhone and iPad app, Appetites. The company’s publicist asked if I wanted to try the service (free of charge), and I gladly accepted.

Appetites provides tons of delicious recipes on the app. Once you select a recipe and enter your billing information, you select a delivery time and all the ingredients arrive at your door that same day! Pretty convenient, huh? What’s even better is that once you’re ready to cook, the app has step-by-step video instructions for the recipe–it couldn’t get much easier. This tamarind beef I chose to make was full of flavor and delicious paired with the nutty broccoli and snow peas!

I’ve never used ‘potato salad’ and ‘light’ in the same sentence, until this recipe. CHEESE! I don’t think I could live without it. I’ve considered cutting out dairy products, but the thought of life without cheese makes me cringe. This queso dip was the epitome of cheesy deliciousness with just the right amount of spice from the serrano. The dip would be perfect for your Fourth of July party tomorrow!

With summer right around the corner, I couldn’t think of a better way to welcome the season than some delicious BBQ food. These pulled BBQ chicken sliders are a twist on the pulled pork sandwich–the chicken is just as flavorful and takes half the amount of time to cook! Pair the sliders with some homemade potato salad (recipe coming soon), and your taste buds will thank you. :)

I know I’m late, but I hope everyone had a relaxing Memorial Day weekend! My brother and his girlfriend flew in from Atlanta, so I spent the weekend at my parents’ house with my entire family. It was so nice to have everyone home–we had a wonderful time eating, drinking and laying out by the pool.

We hosted a dinner party over the weekend and my boyfriend and I were in charge of pickling the onions and cauliflower for the salad (will post salad recipe soon). The pickled onions and cauliflower turned out delicious–and the pickling process was so easy!
