Happy taco Tuesday, or as I’m calling it, tequila Tuesday! These spicy jalapeño margaritas would perfectly compliment your carne asada tacos or burrito. Cheers!
Recipe:
1 strip jalapeño, de-seeded and de-veined
3/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
4 tbsp. confectioner’s sugar, plus more to taste
1/2 cup Anejo Herradura tequila
Ice cubes
Salt, for the rim of the glass
Lime wedge, for garnish
Directions:
In a small food processor, grind jalapeno until very fine. Add lime juice, orange juice, confectioners’ sugar and tequila; mix. Pour margarita into a salt-rimmed glass with ice cubes. Garnish with lime wedge.
Oh hell yeah!!! I could use me one of those right now! Cheers! :)
Nothing sounds better to me than this marg right now. Love that it’s spicy!
It’s so refreshing! Cheers!
ha tequila tuesday.. love it! i could definitely kick back with a margarita now!
I’ve been pretty darn hesitant about this whole spicy cocktail craze that I see everyone partaking in…but I have to admit, I had a jalapeno martini the other day, and it was kind of amazing, so I’ll have to try these too.
This margarita definitely had a kick to it, but the tequila was more the star of the drink. ;)
I have been saving this in my inbox because I’m going to make this. Hopefully this weekend!!!! It sounds amazing. :)
