I know I’m late to post this festive Fourth of July cocktail, but the drink would be delicious any time of the year! The strawberry and blueberry ice cubes bring an otherwise boring and colorless drink to life. If you’re not a strawberry or blueberry fan, you can of course replace them with raspberries, blackberries, grapes, etc.
Recipe:
2 oz. Grey Goose vodka
6 oz. soda water
2-3 strawberry ice cubes (1 strawberry in each ice cube)
2-3 blueberry ice cubes (3 blueberries in each ice cube)
Directions:
Hull strawberries then slice in 1/4-inch slices. Place one strawberry slice in each hole of ice cube tray (I didn’t use the end pieces of the strawberry), then fill with water. In a separate ice cube tray, fill each hole with three blueberries, then fill with water. Freeze strawberry and blueberry ice cubes until frozen, 2-3 hours.
To prepare drink: Place 2-3 strawberry ice cubes and 2-3 blueberry ice cubes in glass, then fill with vodka and soda water. Garnish with fresh strawberries and blueberries, if desired.
It’s another warm day here in SoCal and this drink looks so perfect!!
This weather is brutal!! Whereabouts in SoCal are you? I’m up in LA now, but grew up in Mission Viejo!
This drink looks lovely but I am freezing down under :P
Suppose I could still make it ;)
Cheers

I may or may not have just come from happy hour…and this sounds better than anything I had there.
You’re too sweet–thank you!!
Looks so lovely and refreshing!
This looks like the most perfect summer drink! Refreshing, fruity but low-cal, beautiful – I love it!!
